Sainik School Admission Criteria Details 2026-27
Class 6th
For admission in Class VI, the age of the candidate should be between 10 to 12 years as on 31st March 2026, i.e. for admission in the academic year 2026-27, he/she should have been born between 01st April 2014 and 31st March 2016 (both days inclusive).
कक्षा VI में प्रवेश के लिए अभ्यर्थी की आयु 31 मार्च 2026 को 10 से 12 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए, अर्थात शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2026-27 में प्रवेश के लिए उसका जन्म 01 अप्रैल 2014 और 31 मार्च 2016 (दोनों दिन सम्मिलित) के बीच हुआ होना चाहिए।
Admission is open to girls in Class VI. The age criteria is the same as for boys.
कक्षा VI में लड़कियों के लिए प्रवेश खुला है। आयु मानदंड लड़कों के समान ही है।

For admission to Class IX, the age of the candidate should be between 13 to 15 years as on 31st March 2026, i.e. for admission in the academic year 2026-27, he/she should have been born between 01st April 2011 and 31st March 20123 (both days inclusive).
कक्षा IX में प्रवेश के लिए अभ्यर्थी की आयु 31 मार्च 2026 को 13 से 15 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए, अर्थात शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2026-27 में प्रवेश के लिए उसका जन्म 01 अप्रैल 2011 और 31 मार्च 20123 (दोनों दिन सम्मिलित) के बीच हुआ होना चाहिए।
Subject to the availability of vacancies, admission is open to girls in Class 9. The age criteria is the same as for boys.

At the time of admission, he/she must have passed class VIII examination from a recognized school.
प्रवेश के समय उसे किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विद्यालय से कक्षा आठवीं की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण होनी चाहिए।
